Scores are killed by Israeli strikes in Gaza as Egypt proposes a new ceasefire.

Over 65 people are killed by Israeli strikes in Gaza, and Israel claims that it fired on a Red Cross office there "by mistake."

The Gaza Health Ministry said on Monday (March 24, 2025) that over 65 Palestinians, including women and children, had been murdered by Israeli attacks throughout the Gaza Strip in the last day.

Israel's troops have murdered hundreds of Palestinians in Gaza in less than a week of air and ground operations since breaking the ceasefire with Hamas, bringing the total number of fatalities from the 17-month conflict to almost 50,000.
According to sources, Egypt has put out a fresh plan in an attempt to restart the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Israel has said it fired on a Red Cross office in Gaza by mistake.

According to an Egyptian official, Israel would permit humanitarian aid into Gaza and a weeks-long break in warfare if Hamas released five live hostages, including an American-Israeli.
Hundreds of Palestinian inmates would also be freed.
Without providing further details, a Hamas spokesman stated that the organization had "reacted positively" to the plan. Due to their lack of authorization to brief the media on the private discussions, both officials spoke on condition of anonymity.
Israel, however, claims that it accidentally opened fire on a Red Cross office in Gaza.

The Israeli military claimed that after spotting a Palestinian militant danger, its soldiers opened fire on the structure.

The military said in a brief statement that "it was later determined that the identification was false" and that the soldiers were unaware that the Red Cross was using the building. "The incident will be reviewed," the statement said, adding that although the building was damaged, no staff members were injured.
