The Guards claimed to have used missiles and drones to attack "key infrastructure and facilities" at American bases in Juffair and Sheikh Isa in Bahrain, as well as Arifjan and Ali Al Salem in Kuwait.

In a statement released by state broadcaster IRIB on Thursday, July 9, 2026, Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) stated they had attacked American military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait in retaliation for recent American operations.

The Guards claimed to have used drones and missiles to attack "key infrastructure and facilities" at US bases in Juffair and Sheikh Isa, Bahrain, and Arifjan and Ali Al Salem, Kuwait.

Additionally, they issued a warning that if U.S. strikes were repeated, their countermeasures will spread to other bases in the region.

In the meantime, oil prices increased on Thursday as the United States launched more strikes against Iran, undermining hopes for both the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a chokepoint for one-fifth of the world's pre-war oil supplies, and an end to the Iran war.
