Fifteen people are killed in a Russian drone strike on a crowded retail center in Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, denounces the "cynical and despicable" attack that injured over 130 people in his hometown of Kryvyi Rih.



At least 15 people were killed and over 130 injured when Russian drones attacked a crowded retail center in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih.

The main shopping complex in the city was the target of Friday's strikes, which caused a fire, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, on Telegram.

Oleksandr Hanzha, the regional governor, reported that five of the 22 injured children were in critical condition. He stated that 29 individuals were in critical condition overall.

Thirty minutes after the first, he added, a second Russian drone struck the mall, allegedly in an intentional attempt to attack emergency services.

Zelenskyy urged the world to hold Russia accountable on Telegram, saying, "Attacks like these are nothing less than terrorist acts."

"The world must react to them appropriately, putting genuine pressure on the aggressor. Russia needs to be held truly accountable if there is to be peace, he continued.

Social media videos showed flames billowing from the building while rescuers raced to aid the injured on the street outside.

Ivan Vyhivskyi, the country's interior minister, reported that four people, including three children, were killed in a different Russian strike in the Mykolaiv region.
