Pakistan Air Pollution: UN Alerts 11 Million Punjab Children at Risk, Lahore's AQI At 856

Image
According to live assessments from Swiss organization IQAir, Lahore's Air Quality Index (AQI) decreased marginally on Tuesday to fall below the 1000-mark, although it was still dangerous at 856. However, the AQI was much lower than the 1,900 it reached in certain locations earlier this month. Anything over 300 is seen as harmful to health, while a number between 0 and 50 is excellent.  Every winter, chilly air collects dust, pollutants, and smoke from field fires, causing a poisonous haze to spread across regions of South Asia. Punjab has attributed this year's poisonous air to pollution from India, where northern regions have also been experiencing dangerous air. The province has stated that it will discuss the matter with the neighboring nation through its foreign ministry. The most recent IQAir data indicates that Delhi's AQI is 301.
