Hasan Nawaz records Pakistan's fastest T20I century against New Zealand

Pakistan defeated the Kiwis by nine wickets after the opener, who was chasing 205, reached his first century in 44 balls while hitting 10 fours and seven sixes.





In Friday's third match against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland, Hasan Nawaz scored Pakistan's fastest T20I century.
Pakistan defeated the Kiwis by nine wickets after the opener, who was chasing 205, reached his first century in 44 balls while hitting 10 fours and seven sixes.

The 23-year-old broke the previous mark, which was set by Babar Azam in 2021 when he made a century off of 49 balls against South Africa.

The openers, Nawaz and Mohammad Haris, got off to a strong start and the pair stitched Pakistan’s highest-ever PowerPlay score of 75 for one.

After Haris fell, Nawaz and Salman Agha built a 133-run partnership for the second wicket to help Pakistan open its account in the five-match series.
